I have a similar problem with my nexus 200 waste valve. If you don't get it seating right, you can lose a lot of water. I remember the first time it happened, i must have lost 500 litres approx overnight. Was not impressed much. It's still a bit iffy now if i don't get it right.

The pictures are unclear to see properly. Can you describe these growths better, or get some better photo's. There are a lot of knowledgeable koi keepers who visit this site.

Graham, Thanks for your comments. Pond will be up and running in spring. We need to make sure that filtration systems can mature. I will be heating, but with electricity as gas feed is too far away to run through to filtration room. Putting in 2 Nexus 300 filters plus easy pod for skimmer. Regards. Mike.

Excellent pond build this. Jeff does build some nice ponds. When do you think you will have it up and running? Also, what filtration etc?
