No - it will be my 3rd LOL. The first one was ground level and square and we had a thunderstorm and it took the electricity off and 90% of my big fish died - I was gutted - they had names and everything : - ( Then I was determined this would never happen again - so extended it to 18ft (ground level). Then my koi have grown so much (and the pond was ready for a revamp) so I decided to throw some more money at it and now I am doing blockwork and hopefully it will be 12ft long 6 ft wide and approx 6 ft deep. I have been drooling over the windows in ponds - so may be tempted to do this so we can look at them from the patio (as our garden is seperate to our house) when up on the garden. Got the job lot Nexus 200 TMC UV Optimax pump Spindrifter - really going for it LOL. WHen it eventually gets underway - it's soooo frustrating trying to whip the builder into action ; - )
Thanks for that. The pond orignally was going to be alot smaller it just grew...lol...the bend in it was just to hitting as storm pipe so we had to bring it in a bit. It was 14 months hard slog, neverending costs and a near breakdown...lol. koi is all new to me and i think it is safe to say i have got the bug...bad. The window is 6 ft long and 18inch high. All the block work had been done and last minute i decided to knock some blocks out ...that was the only straight on the pond... and so lucky coz it lined up perfect with the view from my conservatory, kitchen and bedroom. If you can have a window deffo have one. The glass only cost £80 however the frame coz it stainless steel was £200, but really not alot when you look at it as a feature.
I see you are building a pond ...how exciting. is it your first?
