forum tweeks Sat 31st May Some more forum code updates today. I've removed the avatar pic from the list of topics page, and introduced a topic emoticon and an option sub-title. Seems to work, but shout if not.  Forum text cursor focus Tue 27th May
When you clicked New Post or Reply the cursor wasn't always set correctly in the new text area that slides open. This should be behaving properly now.
However, I note that Quote puts the cursor at the start of the text on Internet Explorer, but not Firefox, which correctly positions it at the end. I'll look into this some more shortly.

home page comments to pictures Wed 2nd Jan slight tweek here - gone are the speaker's avatar pics, and intead is shown the actual picture commented on. I much prefer replying to home page comments Fri 14th Dec 2007
Added a new "Say something to x" link on home page comments. Makes it more obvious where to post your reply...

Slight change to photo rating. Only photos uploaded this week (Sun - Sun) are eligible for voting. At midnight Saturday, the photo with the most votes will be the new weeks pic of the week. Hope that makes sense!? The only difference is that before you could keep on voting for any picture, and now you can't.

Slight change to the home page title, and also moved the Edit home page text link from preferences to here, for improved ease of use.
Posted downtime alert on home page Wed 24th Oct 2007 Yep - from 8:45pm On Thu 25th, koivsta will be down and out. Our ISP is relocated over 100 of its servers from London Docklands, where rack prices are spiraling, up to Manchester. Unfortunately, this is a physical move which means proper downtime. All should be back in place we you get up on Friday morning, however. Personally, I'm off to the pub to try and not think about things like bus crashes, and the like

I just added back the standard internet address link for individual photos. You'll find this on your Manage Photos tab. Useful for posting pics on forums - koimag.co.uk, etc.

"Pic of Week Candidate" text bug fix Mon 15th Oct 2007
This text, as shown next to the upload date of pictures being shown at full size, was incorrectly printed on last weeks photos - but only on a Sunday! It should now display only for pics uploaded *this* week, where Sunday is day 1. It was also incorrectly showing for pics in For Sale and Personal galleries.

These are now allowed! However, they must be placed in a special 'personal' gallery. To create one of these just click Create Gallery on your home page and then click the check box to the right of the name field. You are only allowed one personal gallery, for the time being.
Personal galleries are not listed on the home page Galleries tab, but uploads are noted under News and Comments. You can obviously link to these pictures and galleries from other sites. This feature is seriously beta so please let me know of any problems.

On your Edit Preferences page you can now select to set an optional Male or Female flag. It's entirely optional. However, setting this will allow the system to generate more meaningful news messages using words such as His or Her.

Home pages now display the date at which a koivista user joined the site. This is shown just below the name at the top left of the screen.
